frame studies of “Shadow of a Doubt” (1943)

Comic adaptation of a scene from Ernest Hemingway’s “The Killers.”

This portrait of RDJ was one of my assignments from term 1. Acrylic on 9 x 12 canvas board.

There was a great movie in the 50’s called Cape Fear that my instructor assigned us to watch and draw scenes from. It was not only a great story but also consisted of great scene compositions. Gouache on watercolor paper.

A lil sneak peak of what i’ve been workin on ;)

old nude studies

Over the summer I teached a nude body class in Vancouver. I did these demos to show different shading techniques and line strokes, timed under 1,2,5, or 10 minutes.

this was my assignment from my second term where one of the hw was to do a painting using analogous colors.

acrylic on 16”x20” illustration board

This is one of my earlier oil paintings. I was lucky enough to have a comp and painting class with Bob Kato. One of our hw’s is to do a self portrait.

He failed to mention that clothing was needed.
